Due to electrical issues at our townhouse, we had no heat or appliances at a very cold time of the year. Consequently, we were forced to leave our house and find other lodging while repairs were being made. AKA offered a wonderful home away from home. Nigel at the front desk greeted us with warm welcomes, open arms (literally), and great conversation whenever we passed by the front desk on our way to our room. He consistently went out of his way to make sure our stay was perfect. In fact, everyone at the front desk was pleasant and helpful. We spent many evenings in the bar/restaurant where again the manager/hostess greeted us as old friends and made sure we had everything we needed. In our room, the bed and pillows were so comfortable. The room always straightened, on our schedule, and cleaned. The bathroom products were replenished and smelled so good. It was always quiet and relaxing. The food and drinks were just as we wanted. The open spaces inside and outside the hotel offered a comfortable extension to our bedroom. And the gym? Fantastic. In all, we were very happy with our stay.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary. A handwritten card and box of treats awaited us. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. They had plenty of umbrellas in the lobby, which was helpful as it rained for the majority of a day. They also have ebikes and helmets available for you to explore the Mount Vernon Trail (we didn't end up doing this due to the aforementioned rain). Wonderful location with excellent dining within a few blocks. As far as amenities, the gym is fantastic - machines that target the whole body and plenty of cardio machines. The dumbbells only go up to 25lbs though. We also availed ourselves to Lalita Method Reformer Pilates, which is located inside the hotel. My wife and I were complete newbies and we loved it.

The customer service was EXCEPTIONAL. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating (the bellhop even hugged me when I departed the hotel!). I've never had such a good customer service at a hotel. Plus, I was there for my bachelorette party and when I arrived to my room, there was a free bottle of champagne and a beautiful hand written card. It didn't hurt that the hotel is gorgeous with amazing amenities. The terrace is stunning and a great spot for a hang, the location is terrific, and the beds are sooooo comfy! It's the first time I've felt like I have to return to a property because the experience was so positive.

I wanted to share my overwhelmingly positive experience at the hotel. The cleanliness was truly remarkable; everything felt fresh and impeccably maintained, exceeding my expectations. Beyond the spotless rooms and common areas, the exceptional customer service truly set this hotel apart. The staff at the front desk were incredibly helpful and efficient, addressing all my queries with a cheerful and professional demeanor. Their assistance went above and beyond what I typically expect. I was particularly impressed by the concierge service. Their recommendations were spot-on, and their ability to seamlessly arrange everything from restaurant reservations to transportation was invaluable. They made my stay incredibly smooth and enjoyable.

The staff was very responsive and professional. We had 2 facility problems ( a water leak onto carpet from the AC unit and a plugged shower drain). We reported them to the front desk and staff fixed the problems by the time we returned in the evening. There are always problems wherever one stays and the ability of the hotel to correct issues quickly is what counts. The housekeeping staff was excellent. Every day the room was pristine! Also praise to the doormen and doorwoman who greeted us every time on arrival .
